Sunday School

The Apostle Paul instructed Timothy to devote himself to the "public reading of Scripture and to preaching and teaching" (1 Timothy 4:13). Paul continued to explain why the Scriptures are worthy of our devotion. Put simply, they are "God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16). At Pleasant Valley Baptist Church we acknowledge that God's Word is our sole authority. God’s Word teaches us, through the power of the Holy Spirit, how to live under the shelter and provision of God. His Word is truly "a lamp to our feet and a light for our path" (Psalm 119:105).

We believe there is no problem, situation or trial known to man that is not addressed through the Word of God. For this reason we make the study of God's Word a priority in the life of the Church. Every age will find dynamic and life-changing truths unfolded through the various Bible studies we offer throughout the year. We encourage your entire family to participate in the Sunday School classes and Discipleship classes offered at Pleasant Valley. There is no doubt that God's Word will change your life and draw you to a closer walk with Jesus Christ.
